This site is all about animation and illustration by Emily Howells and Anne Wilkins. You can watch their films, including Sun in the Night Time, The Psychiatrist, Spin Spun Span and A Film about Poo. A Film about Poo has shown at over 50 international film festivals, including Encounters Short FIlm Festival, Ottawa International Animation Festival, London International Animation Festival, New York International Childrens Film Festival, Bradford Animation Festival, and the BFI Future Film Festival. A Film about Poo has won 5 prizes. Spin Spun Span is their second film, commissioned by Bolton Museum & Archives. It is about the Northern cotton industry. Emily and Anne met at Kingston University, where they studied illustration and animation together. Emily now lives in London, whereas Anne lives in Manchester. It works for them. They love drawing pictures, listening to The National, watching Lost, and talking about strange animals.
